Cufflinks

Cufflinks are the one place in men's dress where fine jewelry is expected rather than remarked upon, and the category deserves the same attention as any other. This page is being built to cover the full range: classic double panel links with a swivel bar, chain linked pairs in the older formal tradition, bullet back and whale back fittings for everyday shirts, and full dress sets that pair links with matching studs for black and white tie.

Materials tell you most of what you need to know about how a pair wears. Platinum and 18K gold hold detail and weight, 14K and 9K gold sit lighter on a cuff, and fine silver reads cooler and cleaner. Stone and inlay work spans mother of pearl and onyx for formalwear, cabochon and faceted colored gems for color, and small diamond accents where a pair needs to catch light across a table. Enamel, guilloche and engine turned metalwork appear at the more decorative end.

Every pair that appears will follow the same rules as the rest of the site: sold by the retailer named on the card, at that retailer's own published price, with specification detail carried through as the retailer states it.
